The valley is at an elevation of 3,564 metres (11,693 ft) above msl (mean sea level) at a distance of 150 kilometres (93 mi) from the capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok. The flowering season in this wondrous land starts from late February to mid-June when countless flowers bloom and carpet the valley of Yumthang.
