  1. SANPIAU

Major ingredients: rice porridge, pepper, fish sauce. Found in almost all corners of the Mizo streets, Sanpiau, is a very famous Mizo street food. It is actually a snack prepared with rice porridge and is plated up with fresh coriander paste, spring onions, crushed black pepper, fish sauce, and finely powdered rice. So don’t forget to try Sanpiau if you love street food.

Major ingredients: vegetables, tomato, and ginger Here’s something delicious for the vegans out there. This is the most popular household dish of Mizoram. It is basically a dish prepared with mixed steamed vegetables such as broccoli florets, cabbage, carrots, etc. Tomatoes and ginger are added to it at the end. This dish is served best with rice.

Major ingredients: Red and green chilies, onions, and ginger. HmarchaRawt is a very famous tangy and spicy chutney from Mizoram. It is prepared by roasting green and red chilies and then grinding them to make a paste. It is then mixed with chopped onions and ginger. This chutney can be enjoyed with almost all meals.
