Assam, a northeastern state of India, is renowned for its rich and diverse wildlife. The state is home to several national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, each harboring a wide array of flora and fauna. Assam's diverse ecosystems, ranging from grasslands and wetlands to dense forests, support an incredible variety of wildlife, making it a key destination for nature enthusiasts and wildlife conservation efforts. We have created an itinerary below coverning some of these beautiful parks and wildlife sanctuary
Manas National Park is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is known for its rare and endangered species such as the pygmy hog, golden langur, and Bengal florican. The park also boasts a significant tiger and elephant population.
The first day of the trip will begin with your pickup from Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. We will make a quick visit to the auspicious Kamakhya Temple to seek blessings from Maa Kamakhya. After that our onward journey starts. Manas National Park is 145 km away from Guwahati and it will take 3 -4 hours to reach there. On reaching we will have a leisurely walk in the periphery area of the forest till the sunsets. Overnight stay in Manas National Park.
The day begins with us waking up to the mesmerizing view of Manas river and an early elephant safari inside the National Park. The park is known for its endangered endemic wildlife like roofed turtle, hispid hare, pygmy hog, etc. After the safari, we will come back to hotel and enjoy our breakfast. Afternoon we shall go for Jeep Safari into the park. Later evening we shall explore the local Bodo villages and their culture. Overnight stay in Manas National Park.
Today early morning we shall go for another Jeep Safari in the forest and after returning we will enjoy our breakfast and get ready for the return journey to Pobitora wild life sancuary. It has a large population of Rhinos after Kaziranga National Park and if we are lucky we might get a chance to angle a selfie shot with them. overnight stay in Pabitora wildlife santuary.
Today early morning go for a Jeep Safari in Pobitora WLS. After that we will begin our journey to Nameri National Park. We shall check in in a eco camp in Nameri National Park and enjoy bonefire and local food in the night. Overnight stay in Nameri National Park.
Start of the day with a morning trek inside the forests and river rafting as safari is not available inside the forest. Nameri is a hub for photographers and birdwatchers as it is the best sighting spot for the endangered bird White-Winged Duck which is also the state bird of Assam. Later we can opt for a rafting experience in the Jia Bhorali river which is another charm of the place. We shall stay overnight in Nameri.
After Breakfast we will head towards Kaziranga National Park which is 120 kms away and will take about 3-4 hours to reach there. We shall go for afternoon Jeep Safari into the park. Overnight stay in a beautiful resort in Kaziranga National Park.
Start of the morning with elephant safari inside one of the range of Kaziranga and experience. Here we can have a unique experience with the One-Horned Rhinos for which it is famous for. Apart from that, it is the hotspot for a wide variety of wildlife and birds making it the most popular National Park of Assam. Later we will treat you to an amazing breakfast in the resort. Go for another Jeep safari in the afternoon inside the forest. Later travel to jorhat and overnight stay in Jorhat
Early morning after breakfast we will head towards Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary as Hoolock Gibbons are only visible in the early mornings. We will trek inside the forest with the local guards and if we are lucky we might catch a glimpse of the only Ape found in India. After our trek we will head towards Dibru Saikhowa National Park. Over night stay in Dibru Saikhowa National Park.
Early morning, we will enjoy our breakfast overseeing the mighty Brahmaputra from the Guijan Ghat. After breakfast, through a ferry/boat ride, we will head towards the Kekjori tree which is hundred years old and is spread over few acres. On our way back we can spot the various migratory birds as well as the river dolphins. Lunch will be arranged in the boat and after that, we will head towards Maguri Beel which is the hotspot for birdwatchers. In the evening you can visit the local community nearby and taste some of their local food. Overnight in Dibru Saikhowa National Park.
Start of another day with an amazing breakfast near the Ghat. After that, we will head towards Dehing Patkai National Park. Traveling with the local forest guide is recommended inside the deep rainforest as there is no definite track. Today we will explore the untouched forest of Dehing Patkai and the wide range of butterfly collections that it houses and later we will Drive to Dibrugarh for overnight stay.
Today is the last day of the wildlife tour. After breakfast, we will head Airport. We will drop you at Airport for your onward journey and bid goodbye.
